Earthquake Engineer - Catastrophe Risk Modeling

Seismic Hazard and Risk Analysis

Zacharias Fasoulakis is a Structural Engineer and joined RED in 2021. He holds a PhD (National Technical University of Athens, 2021) on the behaviour of members from cold formed angle sections used for lattice towers. His research focuses on the stability of structures, finite element analyses with stochastic processes, mechanical properties of steel during and after fire events. He has participated in several research projects, co-funded by the EU and Greek agencies. Zacharias holds also an MSc in Analysis and Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures (2012) and a Diploma in Civil Engineering (specialty on Structural Engineering) (2010) from the same university. He is experienced as a Design Structural Engineer for more than 10 years, working for projects on the design or the assessment and strengthening of structures from steel, concrete, masonry, or timber. His current work is mainly focused on the vulnerability analysis of structures under wind hazard.
